Vanessa  holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of London, a Master’s degree in Social Statistics from the University of Southampton, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Trials from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Vanessa has experience in analysing qualitative and quantitative data, time series forecasting, assessing the reliability and validity of survey questionnaires and writing statistical reports. She has a strong academic background and experience in using a variety of statistical software, such as SAS, SPSS, STATA, R and MLwiN.

Vanessa’s main areas of interest are in clinical trials, epidemiology and social statistics, but her other interests also include data collection, giving presentations to a variety of audiences and writing articles for the Royal Statistical Society’s official Magazine, Significance.
